Project Description
The South Dunes Precinct development includes five sites identified by TNPA.

The proposed liquid bulk sites within the South Dunes Precinct are aligned to the masterplan for the Port of Richards Bay. These sites will have access to existing berths 208 and 209 and, upon demand, TNPA will prioritise the development of the proposed Berth 210 to support Phase 2 of the liquid bulk terminals development.

Latest Developments
On May 23, TNPA announced five companies as preferred bidders for the development of liquid-bulk terminals in the South Dunes Precinct for a 25-year concession period. 

The selected companies are KZN Oils, Linsen Nambi, Protank, Bidvest/Mnambithi Consortium and KNGM Engineering.

The sites will be designed to handle various petrochemical products and could attract about R17-billion’s worth of investment.
